The primary focus of Desert Dolls Roller Derby Junior program is to promote health, exercise, confidence, leadership and social interaction in boys and girls ages 7-17 through the sport of Roller Derby. Founded on the basis of empowering people, Desert Dolls Roller Derby wants to provide the same opportunity to young persons who have the desire to skate and learn the sport of roller derby. Young people across the valley will have the chance to discover their inner super hero in a positive environment that develops teamwork, friendship, self­‐confidence and individuality.

Skate Gear Needed:
It is required that all skaters have the following:
Quad Skates (no roller blades allowed)
Wrist guards
Elbow pads
Knee pads
Mouth Guard
White toe stops

Unfortunately, DDRD does not have junior sized rental gear available.

Junior Dues are $20 / month. Due by the 15th of each month.

USARS & Insurance:
USARS is a league requirement, the membership fee is $50 paid annually to USARS. This is liability insurance and in order to practice or play in a game the player must be registered. Personal insurance is also required in order to skate with DDRD. Please bring a copy of the players insurance card on orientation day along with a copy of the juniors birth certificate for age verification.

Orientation Fees:

New members to the league must pay a one-time application fee of $10.

The above mentioned fees are due on the day of orientation.

Practice Times:
Tuesday from 6pm – 8pm
All practices are held at our practice facility located at 39th Ave and Indian School Road.
